How long will it take to make my accessory?
All made-to-order accessories are guaranteed to be produced and shipped in 12 weeks or less.
Can I get my accessory faster than the standard production time?
Yes! Rush Orders are available for the following production timeframes. A rush fee will be applicable to any rush order.
Regular Rush: 6-8 weeks
Super Rush: 4 weeks
Can I request customizations?
Yes! We offer custom design services—please fill out our custom design inquiry form and we’ll walk you through inspiration, materials, timing and pricing.
Are Alice + Mae accessories final sale?
Because we make all pieces to your specifications (length, color, fabric, trim), our items are final sale and we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We offer at home try-ons and fabric swatches to ensure you are making the best choices prior to purchasing your accessory.

How do I choose what length/size to order?
We offer various lengths and/or sizes for each veil and completer piece. Each product page has the sizing and length options listed along with measurements for each size. You will need to measure yourself while wearing your dress to determine the correct selection to make. We are always happy to guide you though this process. Reach out if you are unsure what to order after taking measurements.
Can I try items on in person?
Yes! You can order an at home try-on box and select up to two styles to try on. The fee for the try-on box is deducted from the price of the accessory if you decide to purchase the accessory.
What if I can not decide which veil length to choose?
We always recommend choosing the longer option if you are undecided. You can always remove additional fabric in alterations, but you can never add length back. We also offer custom lengths, if needed.
Can I get help choosing the right accessory?
Yes! We love helping brides style their wedding day look. Please contact us with any styling requests.

How do I care for my veil or completer piece once it arrives?
Remove from packaging and allow it to hang or drape so wrinkles naturally release. If wrinkles persist, lightly steam or iron on the lowest setting—we recommend the silk setting on your iron. Test the heat on a discreet area — too much heat can damage the delicate fabric. Please also refrain from pulling too hard on the veil and comb when handling. Veils and the materials used to create them are extremely delicate and are easily torn or damaged.
How should I store my accessory?
We recommend storing your accessory hanging inside the garment bag when possible. Keep away from direct sunlight or high humidity to preserve the integrity of the piece. When transporting the veil to the ceremony location, lay the garment bag on top of other items. Do not stack anything on top of veil or accessories. This will likely damage your accessory.

Who is responsible for customs/duties/taxes on international orders?
International buyers are responsible for any customs or import taxes. We cannot assume responsibility for packages held, delayed or returned due to customs. You may be required to pay customs fees prior to delivery— please check your country’s policies to understand what to expect and how to prepare for delivery.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Unfortunately we do not accept returns or exchanges because every piece is made to order based on your specifications. We encourage clients to thoughtfully choose and talk with us prior to purchase if you are unsure.

How does the custom design process work?

How long does the custom design process take?
It usually takes at least 14 weeks for custom projects to be made once the design is confirmed. The design process varies based on the complexity of the project. We can rush custom orders with a rush fee.
What kind of custom pieces will you design/make?
We will design and make veils, completer pieces (i.e. capes, shawls, scarves, wings,) and headpieces. You can browse our shop to see what type of pieces we make.
Will you do simple customizations?
Yes! We love doing simple lace or trim swaps, adding/removing blushers, or custom lengths! Custom fees may apply.

Do you offer your accessories wholesale to retailers?
Yes! If you are interested in becoming a retailer, please fill out our future stockist application. We will be in touch to discuss further. Minimums apply to wholesale orders.

What pieces do your retailers stock in their stores?
Our retailers choose which accessories they stock in their individual stores. It’s always a good idea to reach out to them ahead of your appointment if there is a specific piece you would like to try-on in store.
